Fees Umweltbundesamt (UBA) and Emission Certificate Registry Austria (ECRA)

The basis for calculating the fees for Umweltbundesamt and Emission Certificate Registry Austria (ECRA) is the annual allocation of allowances according to the National Allocation Plan. The fee model for Umweltbundesamt was approved by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management in 16 May 2011. Umweltbundesamt fees are levied by ECRA. The fee model for ECRA was approved by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management in writing on 19.05.2011.

Fees for Umweltbundesamt and ECRA are annual fees payable for the specified period for which allowances are allocated and have to be paid by the account holder within 14 days following receipt of invoice. Both fee models are valid for 2011 and subject to annual inspection by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management. Changes of fees for subsequent allocation periods cannot be ruled out by Umweltbundesamt and ECRA.

The applicants for personal accounts of non-EEA countries have to remit a nonrecurring service fee amounting to EUR 1.500,- plus 20% VAT, additional to the annual fee for personal holding accounts.

The nonrecurring service fee for time and effort was approved by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management in writing on 23.09.2009.
