ECRA Emission Certificate Registry Austria GmbH has been authorised by Umweltbundesamt GmbH (Federal Environment Agency) as Austrian registry service agency pursuant to Article 2 of the Registerstellenverordnung [Registry Ordinance (Federal Legal Gazette II No 308/2004) to perform certain tasks according to Article 21 of the Emissionszertifikategesetz [Emission Certificate Trading Act] and Article 47 of the Umweltförderungsgesetz [Environmental Measures Support Act]. ECRA’s tasks are the operation of a standardised and confidential registry system by means of an electronic database, which offers a certain number of accounts in order to enable and check the allocation, holdings, transfer and cancellation of emissions allowances pursuant to the relevant legal obligations. |
