Verified emissions, surrendered allowances and compliance status
Pursuant to Article 9 and Annex XVI of Commission Regulation No 2216/2004 for a standardised and secured system of registries, the registry administrator shall make available every year on 15 May the following information on installations linked to operator holding accounts:a. verified emissions from the installation for the previous year;
b. surrendered allowances i.e. allowances which have been surrendered to the national account by the operator to cover verified emissions of the previous year;
c. a symbol describing the compliance status. This symbol indicates whether or not the operator has complied with his obligation to surrender a sufficient number of allowances to cover verified emissions.
Every year the number of allowances allocated to the operator of an installation according to the national allocation plan (NAP) has to be made publicly available.
The above data can be viewed in the reports which list the data by operator holding accounts. For the purpose of greater clarity, a table of all installations is presented here together with the information mentioned above and the relevant total amounts for all installations.
With these details about verified emissions the public will now be effectively informed about the actual CO2 emissions from installations which have been calculated according to approved monitoring methods and verified by an independent verifier.
